President Pratibha Patil presented the Best Actor award to Amitabh Bachchan for his performance in Paa during the 57th National Film Awards ceremony held in New Delhi recently.

Filmmaker D. Rama Naidu collected the Dadasaheb Phalke award from the President for his outstanding contribution to the growth and development of Indian cinema while Abhishek Bachchan got the award for the Best film Paa. Awards were also given to 3 Idiots for Best Entertaining Feature Film and Best Supporting Actress award to Arundhati Nag for her role of Bum in Paa. Jaya Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan were present on the occassion.
