Amrit Bharat Express launch: Nine trains connecting 9 states to be flagged off soon – check routes, train number, timings
Indian Railways to launch Amrit Bharat Express trains: Since its launch in December 2023, 30 Amrit Bharat Express trains have been operational over the Indian Railways network.
Amrit Bharat Express train launch:The Ministry of Railways is set to launch nine Amrit Bharat Express trains soon. These non-AC train services will originate from West Bengal and Assam and connect seven other states en route such as: Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Odisha, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Maharashtra and Karnataka.

These new Amrit Bharat Express train services are being introduced on routes passing through Assam, Bihar and West Bengal, regions that account for a large share of the country’s migrant workforce and long-distance rail passengers.
“Designed to cater to heavy passenger volumes, especially during festive seasons and peak migration periods, these trains will provide reliable, affordable and comfortable connectivity for travellers commuting for employment, education and family needs across different parts of the country,” the Ministry of Railways said in a statement. These nine Amrit Bharat trains are as follows:
Guwahati (Kamakhya) – Rohtak Amrit Bharat Express
Train number 15671 Kamakhya-Rohtak Amrit Bharat Express will leave Kamakhya at 22:00 hrs on Friday and arrive at Rohtak at 14:45 hrs on Sunday. In the return direction, train number 15672 Rohtak-Kamakhya Amrit Bharat Express will depart Rohtak at 22:10 hrs on Sunday and reach Kamakhya at 12:15 hrs on Tuesday.
Train number 15949 Dibrugarh-Gomti Nagar Amrit Bharat Express will leave Dibrugarh at 21:00 hrs on Friday and arrive at Gomti Nagar at 13:30 hrs on Sunday. In the return direction, train number 15950 Gomti Nagar-Dibrugarh Amrit Bharat Express will depart Gomti Nagar at 18:40 hrs on Sunday and reach Dibrugarh at 12:40 hrs on Tuesday.
Train number 20604 Nagercoil-New Jalpaiguri Amrit Bharat Express will leave Nagercoil every Sunday at 23:00 hrs and will reach New Jalpaiguri at 05:00 hrs, the fourth day. In the return direction, train number 20603 New Jalpaiguri–Nagercoil Amrit Bharat Express will leave New Jalpaiguri every Wednesday at 16:45 hrs and will arrive Nagercoil at 23:00 hrs, the third day.
New Jalpaiguri – Tiruchirappalli Amrit Bharat Express
Train number 20610 Tiruchchirapalli-New Jalpaiguri Amrit Bharat Express will leave Tiruchchirapalli every Wednesday at 05:45 hrs and will reach New Jalpaiguri at 05:00 hrs, the third day. In the return direction, train number 20609 New Jalpaiguri– Tiruchchirapalli Amrit Bharat Express will leave New Jalpaiguri every Friday at 16:45 hrs and will arrive Tiruchchirapalli at 16:15 hrs, the third day.
Train number 16597 SMVT Bengaluru–Alipurduar Amrit Bharat Express will leave SMVT Bengaluru every Saturday at 08:50 hrs and will reach Alipurduar at 10:25 hrs, the third day. In the return direction, train number 16598 Alipurduar – SMVT Bengaluru Amrit Bharat Express will leave Alipurduar every Monday at 22:25 hrs and will arrive SMVT Bengaluru at 03:00 hrs, the fourth day.
Train number 11031 Panvel–Alipur Duar Amrit Bharat Express will leave Panvel every Monday at 11:50 hrs and will reach Alipur Duar at 13:50 hrs, the third day. In the return direction, train number 11032 Alipur Duar–Panvel Amrit Bharat Express will leave Alipur Duar every Thursday at 04:45 hrs and will arrive Panvel at 05:30 hrs, the third day.
Train number 16107 Tambaram-Santragachi Amrit Bharat Express will leave Tambaram every Friday at 15:30 hrs and will reach Santragachi at 20:15 hrs, the next day. In the return direction, train number 16108 Santragachi – Tambaram Amrit Bharat Express will leave Santragachi every Saturday at 23:55 hrs and will arrive Tambaram at 10:00 hrs, the third day.
Train number 13065 Howrah-Anand Vihar Amrit Bharat Express will leave Howrah every Thursday at 23:10 hrs and will reach Anand Vihar at 02:50 hrs, the third day. In the return direction, train number 13066 Anand Vihar – Howrah Amrit Bharat Express will leave Anand Vihar every Saturday at 05:15 hrs and will arrive Howrah at 10:50 hrs, the next day.
Train number 22588 Banaras-Sealdah Amrit Bharat Express will leave Banaras every Sunday, Tuesday and Friday at 22:10 hrs and will reach Sealdah at 09:55 hrs, the next day.
In the return direction, train number 22587 Sealdah- Banaras Amrit Bharat Express will leave Sealdah every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday at 19:30 hrs and will arrive Banaras at 07:20 hrs, the next day.
