While in the past the armed forces had held that a different commission needed to be formed to look after their issues,the Chairman of the Chiefs of Staff Committee Air Chief Marshal N A K Browne has written to the Defence Minister that all issues related to the pay should be addressed but a separate commission need not be set up. They are looking for fair representation in the 7th Central Pay Commission announced on Wednesday.
