Maldives Defence Minister meets Parrikar

New Delhi, Jan 20 (ANI): Minister of Defence and National Security of Maldives Adam Shareef met his Indian counterpart Manohar Parrikar in New Delhi to boost bilateral ties, especially in the area of security. Shareef held delegation-level talks with Parrikar during which it was reportedly decided that both the nations should deepen their defence cooperation. Earlier in the day, Shareef also inspected a tri-services guard of honour during a ceremonial reception in the national capital. During his stay here, Shareef will also meet External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj.

New Delhi, Jan 10 (ANI): Union Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi on Sunday took a jibe at Congress leader Manish Tewari, saying that the discussions of standing committee are never brought out in public and that is something which they take as oath. He further said that he does not think any such discussion took place within the standing committee on Defence and so Tewari's comment over VK Singh should be avoided. Another Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Nalin Kohli raised question against Manish Tewari by asking him that why he did not disclose these things when they were in the government? He further stated that the Congress party says something else when in government and something different when they are not in the government.
