As an Instagram reel of the Christmas ‘present’ went viral, the comments section saw multiple sarcastic replies. Some joked that the brick could serve a purpose against the person who gifted it.

An Instagram reel titled “Christmas Part 1”, posted by Ashwani Dwivedi, has unexpectedly gone viral, not for festive cheer, but for a prank that caught viewers completely off guard.

The video opens to what looks like a classic Christmas moment. A man is seen holding a neatly wrapped present covered in bright holiday paper, complete with a handwritten tag meant for Piyush Ranjan. For a brief moment, it feels like the setup for a heartwarming gift reveal. That mood changes instantly when the man notices a small tear in the wrapping and draws attention to it. Peeking through the rip is a red brick.

Rather than unwrapping the gift fully, the man pauses and explains to the camera that someone actually went through the trouble of wrapping a brick and gifting it for Christmas. Laughing at the sheer absurdity of it, he points out that people capable of such pranks truly exist—a reaction many viewers seemed to relate to.

As the reel spread across Instagram, the comments section quickly filled with dark humour and sarcasm. Some users joked that the brick itself could serve a purpose, particularly against the person who gifted it.

One user wrote, “Bhai majdur ko aur kya hi milega? (Brother, what else would a labourer even get?) Another commented, “Yeh gift toh hamara manager bhi deserve karta hai. (Our manager deserves this gift too.)”

A third quipped, “It’s a weapon!! Use it wisely.” While someone else added, “Bhai eeat ka jawab pathar se do (Brother, respond to a brick with a stone.)”
