3 Mumbai players called for camp
Three Mumbai hockey players, Enrico Fernandes, Cheops D8217;Costa and AP Girish have been asked to report for the coaching camp for probables for the Inaugural Akbar El Youm International Hockey tournament to be held at Cairo in Egypt from February 2 to 12. The camp will be held at New Delhi from January 11 to 25 January.
WCG8217;s flood-lit open athletics
Willingdon Catholic Gymkhana will be organising a three-day flood-lit Open Athletic Meet from Feb 4 to 6 at the Sports Promotion Complex, near Khar-Santacruz subway. Entry forms will be accepted at the Gymkhana office from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., latest by Ja 23.
Payyade Memorial football tourney
The Karnataka Sporting Association will be conducting the 4th Ramnath Payyade Memorial Football tournament from Jan 9 at the Karnatak ground, Cross Maidan. Twelve teams will be participating in the league-cum knock out tournament. The teams are: Kanara Broz, Satya Vijaya, Karnataka, Vidyadaini,Union, Uchil United, Star of Canara, Udaya, Saraswati, Bombay Fort, Mogaveera, Karnataka Amateur.
