Save powerloom units in State

VADODARA, July 19: Former finance minister Sanat Mehta has called for the need to save 30,000 powerloom units in Gujarat. In a statement here on Monday, Mehta has hoped that the State Government would take immediate action to save the powerloom industry and avoid thousands of families from becoming unemployed.

Mehta said that on one hand existing industries were undergoing difficult times due to government policies and on the other hand, the BJP Government is extending help to industries having investment of more than a lakh crore rupees. The State is also being made attractive for the foreign investors, he added.
