PUNE, July 29: The local social forestry office has made available over 3.65 lakh saplings of various varieties for plantation for the current monsoon.
The saplings are available at nominal prices at the Katraj, Aundh Chest Hospital, Vadaj Junnar, Patas Daund and Tarangwadi Indapur nurseries of the social forestry department, Deputy Conservator of Forest P N Patil said. Ornamental plants and varieties of bamboo and medicinal plants, eucalyptus and other plant species, 1.7 lakh in number, are available at the Katraj and Aundh nurseries of the department, Patil said.
Officials would impart necessary expertise for the plantations. Further details are available the Social Forestry office at Chiplunkar Bhavan 433119.
