Railways win

JABALPUR, JANUARY 10: Defending champion Railways defeated Gujarat 19-0 in the inaugural match of the 50th National Women Senior Hockey Championship on Monday.

Forward Suraj Lata scored a hat-trick in the first 10 minutes of the match as the winners led 11-0 at the break. The other principal scorers for Railways were Preetam Thakran four and Kamla Dalal three.
