Express one day tourney for juniors
MUMBAI: The Indian Express Group and the Mumbai Cricket Association MCA gave overs-limit cricket for juniors a big boost when they joined hands to launch the first-ever one-day tournament for under-16 and under-19. Four teams will vie for the Express Trophy for Under-19 and six teams will compete for the Loksatta Trophy for Under-16 which will be played at the Brabourne Stadium. The under-19 championship gets under way on Friday.
N-plant mishap
TOKYO: An accident at a Japanese nuclear fuel facility northeast of Tokyo today injured three workers who were exposed to radiation. The radiation levels were 4,000 times higher than normal following the leak.
Akash testfired
BALASORE ORISSA: Akash, a multi-target surface-to-air missile, was successfully test fired from the Interim Test Range at Chandipur-on-sea, near here, on Thursday.
