Every human being endeavours for excellence. He probes beyond the realms of nature and arrives at conclusions which mark his first step towards the best. Hundreds of years ago, when human civilisation first came into existence, men did their best to excel and then too, strove to do their best. The invention of the wheel could take place only because some people thought it would be the best8217; solution or option of moving heavy carts.

Newton became great by letting his imagination run wild when he saw an apple falling. Many people before him had also seen an apple fall, but failed to observe anything fascinating about it.

Columbus was successful in discovering an entirely new continent because people before him lacked the grit and determination. They were conservative to the extent that some even refused to believe that the earth was round and people lived on the other side of the globe. But Columbus was able to put his doubts aside and succeeded in recording hi bon voyage on the pages of history.

We live in deeds and not years, in thoughts and not breaths, in feelings and not as figures on the dial of time. Therefore, it is to be remembered that the greatest the greatest people born on earth were not those who blindly accepted whatever was forwarded to them. their thirst for excellence and success was quenched only when they wandered alone in the deserts of knowledge.

Fighting all alone, Mahatama Gandhi overcame the brutality of the Whites in South Africa. Franklin D. Roosevelt, crippled by paralysis was the only American President to be elected four times in succession. Thomas Alva Edison and Beethoven were both stone deaf. Winston Churchill, who saved the British from defeat in World War II, was the worst stammerer when Abraham Lincoln started his life as a store clerk and village postmaster.

A man should not compromise with his destiny and be satisfied with whatever he gets out of life8217;s bowl, but should constantly improve until and unless he gets the best. As it is said:
Good, better, best,
never let them rest;
Until good is better,
and better is best.
