
Screen staffer passes away
Popular film photographer R D Rai passed away on Thursday. He was 44. Rai joined The Indian Express as a press photographer in 1979. He later moved on to the film magazine Screen, with which he was associated till his last days.
Staffer retires
R P Verma, president of the Indian Express Employees8217; Union, retired on January 7 after working with the organisation for 19 years. He was given a fond farewell by the employees on Friday.
