Screen staffer passes away

Popular film photographer R D Rai passed away on Thursday. He was 44. Rai joined The Indian Express as a press photographer in 1979. He later moved on to the film magazine Screen, with which he was associated till his last days.

Staffer retires

R P Verma, president of the Indian Express Employees8217; Union, retired on January 7 after working with the organisation for 19 years. He was given a fond farewell by the employees on Friday.

Spiritual meet

A three-day workshop on personal effectiveness through interaction and meditations will be held in Dadar and Vashi starting on February 6 and 20, respectively. Rotarian visit

Rotary International World President Rtn Glenn Kinross will be in Mumbai when the second round of Pulse Polio Immunisation will be accomplished in India on January 18.
