
TIRUPATHI, December 14: It8217;s a grand double for Indian Railways. After the title-triumph by their women on Saturday 8211; for the 14th year in succession 8211; their men continued the magic act, for the first-time ever, by overcoming a fighting Tamil Nadu 39-37 in the 45th National Kabaddi Championships at the SV Arts College grounds here early Sunday.
Apart from the trophy and Rs one lakh Rs 50,000 each team cash prize, the players received gold medals of one sovereign each. Tamil Nadu who were losers in both men and women finals pocketed 25,000 each and silver medals.
The Railway stars Sanjivkumar and Nita Dhadwe were adjudged the best players and were awarded Rs 10,000 cash prize each.
