Antony orders probe into Army rations scam

Defence Minister A K Antony on Tuesday ordered a probe into a scam involving pilferage and sale of rations meant for soldiers stationed at high altitude areas in Leh district.

Taking a serious view of reports, which indicated a major scam involving Army jawans and local shopkeepers in the sale of Army food items and clothing, Antony has asked for details of the ongoing investigation in the matter.
