A fire broke out at BJP MP Ravi Shankar Prasad’s bungalow in Delhi’s Chanakyapuri area on Wednesday morning, sources in the fire department said. Three fire tenders were rushed to the house and the fire was doused in minutes, with no one reported injured.
As per the Delhi Fire Services (DFS) officials, a call was received at 8.05 am on Wednesday about a fire breaking out at bungalow number 2 on Mother Teresa Crescent Road in Chanakyapuri. However, DFS officials said, it was later confirmed that the fire broke out at bungalow number 21, the official residence of Prasad, the Patna Sahib MP.

In October last year, a massive fire broke out at Brahmaputra Apartments, where flats have been allotted to several Rajya Sabha and Lok Sabha MPs, on Baba Kharak Singh Marg in New Delhi. At least three people were injured in the incident, residents had said. In a statement, the Ministry of Housing & Urban Affairs (MoHUA) said the fire reportedly originated due to firecrackers set off by children.
