Reena Roy’s ex-husband Mohsin Khan opens up on their marriage, divorce: I have ‘no regrets’ about decision to marry her

Former Pakistani cricketer, Mohsin Khan, who was married to Bollywood actor Reena Roy, has opened up about their divorce. Khan said that he has ‘no regrets’ about the separation and also revealed that he had not watched any film of his ex-wife before they got married.

In a recent interview with G Sports, when Khan was asked if has any regrets about his decision to marry Roy, he answered and said “I have no regrets. I had married a human being, I didn’t see who she was or where she was from. But I had decided that I want to stay in Pakistan. Pakistan is our identity.”

The former cricketer added, “I never watched any of her films before our wedding, no one believes this. If I was leaving home and there was an Amitabh Bachchan scene going on, I would probably stop and watch, but otherwise I have never watched films. And I was never impressed by beauty, I liked a good human being.” Roy had earlier said that Khan insisted that she should move to London with him and take British citizenship, but she was not on board with it.

In 1983, Reena decided to quit the film industry to marry Khan. The couple, however, parted ways in the 1990s. According to reports, Roy initially lost custody of their daughter to Khan. After the cricketer remarried, Roy regained the custody.

In an interview with Times Of India, Roy had opened up about Khan and had said, “He’s the father of my daughter. He’s in touch with her. They share a close father-daughter bond. He’s settled well in life. I pray that God keeps him healthy and happy.” The actor had also revealed that she sought help from the saadhus and saints to win back the custody of her daughter.
