Registration for Round 1 of PG Counselling 2025 has commenced. Candidates are advised to carefully go through the Information Bulletin for PG Counselling 2025 before proceeding with the registration process.

The NEET PG examination and admission process faced significant disruptions, including repeated delays, rescheduling, and legal challenges. Recently, the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) invalidated the results of 22 candidates due to the use of unfair means, with 13 individuals disqualified for engaging in cheating and other malpractices.
Earlier, a major controversy erupted when personal data of approximately 1.38 lakh NEET PG aspirants was reportedly leaked and sold online, triggering widespread concern and anger among candidates and the medical fraternity.
NEET PG 2025 was conducted in a single shift on August 3, following a decisive intervention by the Supreme Court in response to widespread protests from aspirants opposing the proposed two-shift format. The exam saw participation from approximately 2.4 lakh candidates across the country.

Upon a web search using terms related to NEET PG and student data, indianexpress.com was able to obtain multiple listings of ‘NEET PG 2025 Student Database’ packaged as online goods, ranging from prices between Rs 3,000 to Rs 8,500. Some of the documents can easily be accessed with a mere download of the sample data.
One such sample data, obtained by indianexpress.com, contained the names of 201 students along with their phone numbers, PG roll numbers, city, state, father’s name, and email IDs. The data also had scores and ranks of each student. The same full document is being sold at Rs 3,599.
