‘Playing Kasab is a challenging task’

“I had actually sent some of my pictures to the makers of this film who then called me for an audition. They told me that I looked like Kasab and could essay his role. I was selected and while so much is being written about this man,very little actually is known about him. The director has researched well on him and I will undergo a workshop before I begin shooting,” adds Sheikh.

But this actor is not keen on meeting Kasab in real life. “No,not at all. I actually do not feel the need to do so,” adds Sheikh who adds,“This is my first Bollywood film and I am really excited about it. This role is one of the most challenging roles of present times and I fully know that the entire nation hates this man. I have read the script and while the film is about Kasab and Mumbai attacks,on a broader level this film deals with terrorism.”

When asked about the climax of the film,whether Kasab would be hanged,Sheikh says,“I am not supposed to reveal the climax but this is something we all know. There is nothing to hide in it,” says the actor who has done four films down South,been a part of Mr Gladrags and Mr Grasim and also has some TV and print commercials to his credit.
