Apte's journey began with theatre before her film debut in Vaah! Life Ho Toh Aisi! (2005). While her first lead role came in the 2009 Bengali film Antaheen, she garnered wider recognition through supporting roles in 2015 Bollywood releases: Badlapur, Hunterrr, and Manjhi - The Mountain Man.
