Coming from a small town called Bhagalpur in Bihar, Gurmeet Choudhary did not take much time to become a heartthrob of the T.V. industry. He received numerous awards and a lot of appreciation for his role as 'Lord Ram' in Ramayan after which he gained his much-deserved fame. He bagged the role of the male protagonist in other daily soaps like 'Geet-Hui Sabse Parayi' and ' Punar Vivah' where people got to see his versatility as an actor. He later went on to participate in dance reality shows like 'Jhalak Dikhla Jaa-5'and 'Nach Baliye-6' among others. Due to audiences' love and appreciation that he garnered, he won 'Jhalak Dikhla Jaa' and was the 1st runner-up in 'Nach Baliye'. His charming looks and outstanding acting skills did not go unnoticed on the big screen and he soon bagged acting roles in movies like 'Mr.X' and 'Khamoshiyan'. The actor also featured in 'Wajah Tum Ho'.
