Dina Wadia wrote a letter to Indian prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh in 2007, in which she said, “It is now almost 60 years since my father’s death and I have been deprived of my house where I grew up and lived until I married. I request you return it to me”.

Born on the night between August 14 and 15 in 1919 in London, Dina's relation with Jinnah suffered when she decided to marry a Parsi man against her father's wishes.

In her later years, Dina lived mostly in New York though she made an annual trip to Mumbai to meet her family and friends. She was extremely close to son Nusli who visited her often.
