With over 190 films to his credit since 1971, his contributions to Hindi cinema, and occasional forays into Bengali, Nepali, and Tamil films, are undeniable. His versatility is showcased through iconic roles, seamlessly transitioning between compelling villains and charismatic heroes. Denzongpa's memorable villainous portrayals include his performances in Dhund, 36 Ghante, Bandish, Jeeo Aur Jeene Do, Pyar Jhukta Nahin, Aandhi-Toofan, Agneepath, Hum, Krantiveer, Indian, and Enthiran. Beyond acting, Denzongpa ventured into direction with Phir Wahi Raat, a critically acclaimed horror suspense film often ranked among Hindi cinema's best. His international recognition soared with his role alongside Brad Pitt in Seven Years in Tibet.
