Arshad Warsi Arshad Warsi

Subhash Kapoor’s Guddu Rangeela, starring Arshad Warsi, Amit Sadh and Aditi Rao Hydari went on floors in Shimla earlier this week. Despite the recent controversies of an alleged molestation surrounding him, Kapoor has taken the film on floors as per schedule, thus not letting his work get affected by his personal life. The film is about two brothers Guddu and Rangeela, played by Amit Sadh and Arshad Warsi respectively and the actors will be stationed in Shimla till mid-April.
Prior to this, Sadh completed a 15-day workshop to get his accent and body language correct, since he plays a Haryanvi for the first time.
Arshad, on the other hand, is working with Kapoor again after Jolly LLB, and is also working on Manish Jha (who had earlier directed Matrubhoomi-A Nation Without Women) helmed, The Legend Of Michael Mishra.

Vidya Balan to host a women’s day show

As a Women’s Day initiative, Star Plus is to have a show called No More Kamzor. To be aired on March 8, it will be hosted by Vidya Balan, thus emphasising  the fact that women are not the weak species, and can very well be at par with men. The actress, who’s known for her women-oriented roles and power-packed performances in films like Kahaani, The Dirty Picture among others, will interact and felicitate women achievers from various fields. Arunima Sinha, who is the first woman to climb Mount Everest, will be one of the few women that Balan will interact with and felicitate.

Preity’s ‘sweet role’ in Happy Ending

Preity Zinta has confirmed that she is acting in Saif Ali Khan’s home production, Happy Ending which is being helmed by director duo Krishna D.K. and Raj Nidimoru.
“It’s a very quirky, cute film and I have a very sweet role in it. I am doing the film because it is Saif’s home production. It’s a good role and not just a passing through the frame guest appearance. They have written the role keeping in mind that Saif and I share a considerable chemistry, from Kya Kehna to Dil Chahta Hai to Salaam Namastey. I shot in America when I was there, and now I will shoot after the IPL,” said Zinta. The dimpled actress is also charged about her other film, Bhaiyyaji Superhitt. “That’s a very saucy role for me and I am very excited about it,” she said.
