Ode to DDLJ – YRF releases a new trailer for Shah Rukh Khan, Kajol’s film

Such is the magic of this 19-year-old movie that the ‘Maratha Mandir’ in Mumbai finds its audience even today and people flock in hundreds to watch this love saga unfold on screen.

DDLJ, as the movie is fondly called, gave a new lease of life to the YashRaj banner and endowed SRK with the identity of ‘Romantic Hero’. It also established actress Kajol and director Aditya Chopra in the Indian Film Industry.

YRF has further planned to hold a screening of the movie. SRK was quoted saying, “Aditya Chopra was planning something. We will take 15 minutes of unedited footage of the film. We will also watch the film together. There is lot of affection attached with the film. It’s a special moment for sure. It’s the second longest (running) film. I think the first was a Chinese film. Yes, we will have a celebration,” said the 49-year-old actor.

Also, as a part of the celebrations, SRK and Kajol, who were last seen in ‘My Name Is Khan’, will appear on hit television show, ‘Comedy Nights With Kapil’ to celebrate the 1000 week run of their Bollywood cult classic. This will be Kajol’s first ever appearance on any reality TV show. There are plans of celebrations at Maratha Mandir too.
