A week before the US presidential election, former President Donald Trump’s ex-campaign official Steve Bannon was released from federal Bureau of Prisons custody on Tuesday.

Bannon, the right-wing podcast host, was imprisoned for four months for defying the subpoenas from the House January 6 committee back in the year 2022 but he managed to avoid jail for two years as he sought appeals.

The last time when Bannon was a free man, it was President Joe Biden who was contesting for the Democratic Party in the race to White House against Republican candidate Donald Trump. But now when he is released from prison a week ahead of the Election Day, it has come down to Vice President Kamala Harris to take the Democrats boat to the winning line.
