‘Daddy’s back’: Yash’s 2.5-minute Toxic teaser packs more action than an average potboiler; film to clash with Dhurandhar 2

Toxic A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups teaser introduced Yash's character Raya.

The makers of Yash film Toxic came out on the star’s birthday and before you watch it, take a deep breath and settle down comfortably because Rocky Bhai’s comeback after almost three years packs more action — pun intended — than an average masala potboiler. Toxic teaser came out on lead star Yash‘s 40th birthday and after a gamut of first looks. But trust us, you are not prepared for the mix of bursting bombs, flailing limbs, burning flesh and sighing maidens that Toxic teaser introduces us to. Almost 3-minute teaser introduces the actor’s character, Raya.

The official handle of the film’s production house KVN Productions shared the video on social media and wrote, “Get a good look at your danger – Introducing RAYA. Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups in cinemas worldwide on 19-03-2026.” A teaser of the movie was released last year on Yash’s birthday, showing him smoking a cigar and stepping out of a black car, while the latest teaser is an extended version of the same. The teaser also reiterated that Toxic will go head to head with Dhurandhar on March 19 this year.

The teaser shows a cemetery setting, where a man, likely a criminal leader, gathered with his gang to bury his son. The mafia burial has all-white cast who are awaiting what promises to be their nemesis. He arrives in a burial van, with a rather drunk driver who soon sets about getting a bomb ready. Yash, meanwhile, is getting hot and busy with a heaving maiden in the back. Bombs go off, Yash steps out, guns are fired, human limbs go flying. He then emerges, coolly smoking a cigar, telling us, ‘Daddy is back’.

Toxic’s teaser has gotten fans excited, especially after watching Yash’s character reveal. “Ab hoga clash..Pure hollywood vibes,” a comment read. “World is Yash Boss Territory,” another fan wrote. “Rip dhurandhar..Daddy is coming,” a user commented, taking a dig at Ranveer Singh’s latest blockbuster Dhurandhar, which has been unbeatable since its release on December 5.

Previously, the makers of Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups had unveiled first-look posters of Kiara Advani as Nadia, Huma Qureshi as Elizabeth and Tara Sutaria as Rebecca. Produced by Venkat K Narayana and Yash under KVN Productions and Monster Mind Creations, the film also features Nayanthara and Akshay Oberoi.

Toxic is set to release in theatres on 19 March 2026. It will clash at the theatres with Aditya Dhar’s Dhurandhar 2. Yash will be wearing many hats, including an actor, co-writer and co-producer of the film. It is his first project after the release of KGF: Chapter 2, in 2022.
