A taxi driver’s honesty has captured widespread attention after he returned a tourist’s bag filled with cash, an iPhone, and other valuables in Jammu and Kashmir’s Pahalgam.
The tourist accidentally left her bag behind after completing the taxi ride. According to The Logical Indian, the bag contained a bundle of Rs 500 notes, along with an iPhone, and other valuable items. After discovering the bag while checking his vehicle, the driver made efforts to trace the owner.
With information he found inside the bag and assistance from locals, the driver contacted the tourist and returned all the belongings.
The viral video shows the tourist expressing gratitude, thanking the driver for his honesty. She also shakes the driver’s hand and hugs him.
A police officer said such actions “reflect the values of honesty deeply rooted in society and help build trust between tourists and local communities,” the report said.

The video has since gone viral, prompting a deluge of reactions hailing the taxi driver.
“This kind of people is hard to find in this cruel n cunning world……God will surely reward him,” a user wrote. “Truly, my UPI payment not working in zogilla pass war memorial and Kashmiri Bhai says koi baat nahi aap Srinagar ja kar de Dena ap humhari meh Maan hai (No problem! You can pay once you reach Srinagar),” another user commented.
