Whether forming a deep emotional bond or splurging on the best toys and grooming, dog lovers often go the extra mile for their furry companions. But one woman in China has taken pet pampering to an entirely new level, spending over Rs 24 million to build a lavish walk-in wardrobe exclusively for her dogs.
The pet influencer, who goes by the handle @yikemochi, has three pets: Mochi, 6; Milky, 5; and Piggy, 3. The Shanghai-based woman recently gave a tour of her pet’s closet, which features over 2,500 clothing items and accessories, the South China Morning Post reported. The clothing wardrobe includes Disney-themed outfits, a range of coloured inner clothes designed to match fashion styles, and embroidered skirts. Her collection also features tweed jackets priced between 4,000 to 5,000 yuan (between Rs 46,000 to Rs 58,000), along with cashmere jumpers that cost around Rs 3,000 (Rs 35,000) each.
Yikemochi’s dogs also have a wardrobe filled with glittery hair accessories, sunglasses, leashes, and even miniature handbags. She also owns a collection of brightly colored, Canadian-branded dog harnesses, each valued at roughly 500 yuan (Rs 5,800).
To keep her pets stylish and trendy, she often travels to South Korea and Japan for shopping, and also places online orders for exclusive items like Italian hand-knitted sweaters. She purchases traditional Chinese costumes from local e-commerce platforms as well, the report said.

Since the end of January, she has been posting daily photos of her dogs dressed in themed outfits, such as princess, nautical, and gothic looks. She is meticulous about their attire, sending some pieces for dry cleaning and carefully dressing them each day before their walks.
Her dogs pose like seasoned models during outings to parks, malls, and gardens, always camera-ready. Despite the attention her lifestyle has drawn, Yikemochi has remained private about how she funds this extravagant pet fashion, the SCMP reported.
