Abhishek Nandi, Junior Sous Chef, Radisson Blu Resort & Convention Centre, Karjat said that all of these recipes are extremely good for children. “Vegetable poha is low in fat, rich in carbohydrate and is a wholesome meal for children. Idli is one of the world’s healthiest breakfasts and oats are rich in protein and fibre, which are very good for the kids at their initial stage. Moong dal is an Indian household staple, which is rich in protein and is good for the hair and skin. Quinoa is popularly known as mother of all grains, it is a good source of protein, fiber, iron, thiamine, copper, and vitamin B6, and upma made out of it will be a box full of nutrients. Finally, sprouts enhance the nutritional value of grains, legumes or beans.”
Two of the easiest and quickest recipes out of these Chef Nandi suggested were sprout salad and vegetable poha. He explained the easiest processes of making them.
