The cast and crew of Pankaj Agarwals Kakhono Biday Bolo Naa has just returned from a trip to Malaysia wherein song-and-dance sequences were canned in the picturesque land. The title of the film that translates as Never say Goodbye is a wholesome family entertainer with a heavy dose of young romance thrown in. The film marks the debut of noted choreographer S.K. Muralidharan as director of his first Bengali film. He has earlier directed a few Oriya films as he is based in Orissa though he is originally a Tamilian from the South. I am deeply grateful to Agarwal for giving me this break to direct a mainstream Bengali film and I hope the audience reinforces the faith he has placed in me by accepting my film, he says. His mother-tongue is Tamil but he is fluent in Oriya though he is yet to grasp the finer nuances of spoken Bengali. He has chosen a completely new face to play the leading lady in his film. Malobika is tall,slim,and lissome with the freshness of youth to back her.

Playing her romantic interest is Jisshu Sengupta,who says,I have never played a character with so many shades over my 13 years in Bengali cinema as I have done in Kakhono Biday Bolo Naa. The Malaysia shoot in which I steered a speedboat with Malobika riding pillion in the cool surfing waters of the sea was a mind-blowing experience. Ashok Bhadra and Bikash Das have done the musical score for this film that has been cinematographed by R. Bhagwat. Raju is the choreographer of the film produced under the P.B. Films banner. Others in the cast are Rajatava Dutta,Mrinal Mukherjee,Santana Basu,Manjusree Ganguly and newcomer Sweety who plays the role of Jisshus sister Chhutki.

The story is centered on Akash and his family who are based amidst the lush greenery of North Bengal. When Akash comes to study in Kolkata,he falls in love with Varsha and wants to marry her. Something dramatic happens to Akash on his journey back to North Bengal to attend his sister Chhutkis marriage. This changes the scenario of his life,rewriting its script differently. The fun-loving,happy-go-lucky,rooted Akash is now a shattered man caught in a web of a criminal act. What is the incident that triggered this change? What happened to make Akash commit a criminal act? Are Akash and Varsha able to bring their love to a happy ending? The many twists and turns the story is filled with should make Kakhono Biday Bolo Naa an enjoyable and entertaining watch.
Kakhono Biday Bolo Naa is scheduled to release around the end of July.
