Speaking to Bollywood Bubble, he said, “It becomes very difficult to bring out those expressions in the car, many things have to be taken care of, first of all the technicalities have to be taken care of, things become instinctive for the actor, but when you apply brakes in the car, how much jerk should be given, that is also important so that you do not go out of the camera.
He added, "Being in the moment is the most important thing. If you get out of the moment, you'll miss the little nuances and subtleties."
Actor Danish Pandor, who plays the character of Uzair Baloch in Dhurandhar, recently recalled meeting the film's lead star, Ranveer Singh, for the first time during the film's narration. Danish recalled how Ranveer warmly hugged and also made him feel 'important' during their first interaction.
He told Bollywood Bubble, "I met him for the first time at the narration. Main baitha tha aur achanak se Ranveer bhai ne peeche se kass ke hug kiya (I was sitting and Ranveer suddenly came from behind and hugged me) and said, ‘Danish, we’ll kill it.’”
He added, “Aur aapko itne pyaar se matlab pura importance de raha hai (He spoke so lovingly and also gave so much importance), and he’s giving you so much motivation, his energy is so contagious, so vivacious as a person, he gives importance to everyone, he makes everyone feel so important about themselves."
RGV further told NDTV, “I’m not trying to demean any film, but the type of action in which people are thrown in the air…. The audience is used to seeing that kind of action in big films which have been released in the last 7–10 years. In Dhurandhar, the action seems real, it is how it will happen and that is being liked so much more by the same crowd who watches over-the-top action.”
Comparing Sunny Deol in Gadar to Ranveer Singh in Dhurandhar, Ram Gopal Varma told NDTV, "He (Sunny Deol) says ‘Dhai kilo ka haath’, then he starts shouting and all that in the most unreal manner. And here, Hamza (Ranveer Singh) doesn’t even speak most of the time. I mean, you don’t even know what he’s thinking or what he’s up to and all that.”
Anupam Kher further shared in his video, "I am so proud and happy about the success of the film, and about the film shutting down so many people’s thought processes. They tried a lot… What an amazing journey you had. And in fact, this year belongs to you, my friend. Not only because of Dhurandhar, but Yami’s films too from Article 370 to Haq."
Anupam Kher took to Instagram and shared a video in Dhurandhar's support. He said, "There was a clique of people who were behind proving propaganda to the film. This is the same clique who tried to prove propaganda in my film The Accidental Prime Minister, and they were successful in doing that. The same people tried to prove propaganda in The Kashmir Files, and they were succeeded by 30%. That’s because they started a debate. Dhurandhar is a big slap on such people’s faces." He added, "The film has slapped them, saying ‘Don’t teach us what propaganda is. You are not going to decide what is a propaganda film’. Don’t make us feel small: This is what the audience is saying to people like that."
Kumar Mangat Pathak, in a chat with Bollywood Hungama, claimed that Akshaye Khanna wanted to wear a wig in Drishyam 3. He said, "We had signed an agreement with Akshaye Khanna. His fees also got locked after a lot of renegotiations from his side. He insisted that he would like to wear a wig. But (director) Abhishek Pathak convinced him that it wouldn’t be practical, as it would result in continuity issues since Drishyam 3 is a sequel. He understood his point and agreed to let go of that demand. However, the chamchas around him advised him that he would look smarter if he donned a wig. So, he again requested the same. Abhishek relented and was even ready to discuss this point with him. But then, he informed us that he doesn’t want to be a part of the film at all."
The sequel of Dhurandhar releases in theatres on March 19, 2026. The first part will be available to stream on OTT platforms before the release of the sequel. The film will stream on Netflix and reports suggest that the film might start streaming on January 30, 2026.
Dhurandhar's tsunami took over the box office since its release on December 5, and the films that have released since then have been completely washed out. In the midst of this, Kapil Sharma's Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon 2 did not make a dent at the box office. The comedian-actor's film will now re-release in January.
Naveen Kaushik, who played Doonga in Dhurandhar, thanked Aditya Dhar in a special note on Instagram, "The last year and a half has been a journey. Tough, sometimes frustrating, but deliciously thrilling. From the locations to the action, through it all, Aditya sir, you have been the captain that kept the boat steady. Kept the vision when some might have lost it. Kept your cool when the heat of the moment would lead anyone astray. You put your trust in me to bring one of your characters to life and helped make it one of my biggest achievements. You helped me to trust myself again."
Rakesh Bedi, who played Jameel Jamali in the film, spoke about his last day on the set of Dhurandhar and told Radio Nasha Official, "Aditya Dhar had tears on my eyes on my last day of the shoot. When a director feels like that for you, you are even more charged to give you best."
Sanjay Dutt got a lot of love for playing SP Chaudhary Aslam in Dhurandhar. The actor recently made an appearance at AP Dhillon's concert in Mumbai as the audience cheered for him. Sanjay's character will appear in the sequel of the film as well.
Ram Gopal Varma explained why he liked this scene and told NDTV, "That's one of the most exciting things I've seen in recent times." He then compared it to his film Company and said, "But if you compare it with the Company where Ajay Devgn kills that guy from the back, you know, he just tells him he has no choice but to kill him and not leave a witness, because that guy might come after for revenge. That's a very emotional thing, where he explains, and when he shoots him, it will be just like lifting his arm and giving an injection. That's exactly what I told Ajay when I was shooting."
Ram Gopal Varma has been going gaga over Aditya Dhar's Dhurandhar ever since its release. In a new interview, RGV spoke about his favourite scene from the film. In a chat with NDTV, he shared that his favourite scene comes towards the end of the film, when Rehman Dakait (Akshaye Khanna) realises that Hamza (Ranveer Singh) is a traitor, and this leads to a fight in the car.
Krystle D'Souza addressed those who are comparing her and Ayesha Khan in 'Shararat' and told News18, "To take that away with one such comment is just stupid and immature. I, in fact, have seen a lot of women making these comments. As women, the least we can do is support another woman. If they can’t support, then they should just keep quiet. We’ve reached a certain stage in our life and by making such comments, you’re dragging the whole race back by years. We should push and build each other. A world filled with supportive women is beautiful."
Krystle told News18, "Four women have come together, and that’s one of the best things about Shararat. I see trolls saying, ‘She did better than the other’. But it’s not about that. Who cares? Enjoy the song and have fun! It’s so sad that in order to praise someone, you drag another person down. I feel sad for people who do this. They don’t understand that everyone has their own talents and share of struggles. We all work hard and try to be consistent year after year."
Dhurandhar is facing some mild competition from Kartik Aaryan and Ananya Panday's film Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri. The film hit screens on Friday and after a mediocre start, it made Rs 5 crore on its second day. This takes the film's total to Rs 12.75 crore.

Ranveer Singh-starrer has crossed the coveted Rs 1000 crore mark at the box office. The film is now inches away from surpassing Jawan and Pathaan, which earned Rs 1160 crore and Rs 1055 crore globally. Dhurandhar has been in the theatres for over three weeks now.
On its 22nd day in the theatres, Dhurandhar earned Rs 15 crore at the box office, taking its nett total to Rs 648.5 crore.
