Tallahassee: Floridas outgoing governor wants to posthumously pardon rock n roll wild man Jim Morrison,the lead singer of The Doors right who was convicted of exposing himself at an anarchic 1969 concert in Miami. Governor Charlie Crist,a 54-year-old baby boomer and Morrison fan whose favorite Doors song is Light My Fire said the evidence that Morrison unzipped his pants was flimsy and prosecutors were trying to make an example of the singer.
Mel Gibsons ex-girlfriend breaks court order
Los Angeles: Hollywood superstar Mel Gibsons ex-girlfriend Oksana Grigorieva has opened up about the allegedly violent relationship on US talk show Larry King Live,defying a court ordered gag. During her appearance,the Russian singer,spoke about Gibsons violent ways and explained her decision to record her conversation with the 54-year-old during an alleged assault episode in January. I taped it because I thought Im actually not going to live through the night. I wanted my mother to be able to prove that if Im dead that this is who did it, she said.
James Franco named Leading Man of the Year
London: Hollywood star James Franco has been named Leading Man of the Year by GQ magazine. The 127 Hours star was recognised by the US edition of the magazine for his work during the last year. The 32-year-old will be one of five special cover stars to feature on the publications annual issue,Contactmusic reported. Franco,who flawlessly portrayed gay characters in films like Howl,Blind Spot and Milk is simultaneously taking classes at five universities,and spoke of his interest in queer theory after taking a class with Michael Warner.
