Kattalan teaser: Antony Varghese has a jungle fight in the high-octane action drama.
The makers of Antony Varghese’s Kattalan unveiled the Malayalam film’s teaser on Friday. The promo of the high-octane actioner was launched at an event held at Vanitha-Vineetha theatre in Kochi, in the presence of fans, media, and special guests. Set for a worldwide theatrical release on May 14, Kattalan is expected to be one of the biggest releases in Malayalam cinema.
In the one-minute teaser, Antony is seen in a series of intense action sequences—first attacking an elephant and then taking on a group of goons in the forest. The film’s action scenes were designed and choreographed in Thailand under the guidance of popular stunt coordinator Kech Kembakdi. The movie also features ‘Pong’, the elephant that gained popularity through the Ong-Bak series. The elephant fight visuals in the teaser are particularly striking. Overall, Kattalan looks like a promising, full-blown massy action thriller.
