Terrorist groups,including the Lashkar-e-Toiba and Jaish-e-Mohammed,are expanding operations and recruitment in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir,according to a secret government report.

The report,submitted by regional police to the PoK cabinet on March 25,states that three banned groups Harkat-ul-Mujahideen,JeM and LeT are active in PoK capital Muzaffarabad,the BBC reported on Tuesday.

Harkat-ul-Mujahideen and JeM are said to be planning to open madrasas in Muzaffarabad,where the LeT is already operating a madrasa.

Taliban faction scraps peace deal: A pro-government Taliban faction in Pakistans tribal belt scrapped a 16-month-old truce with the authorities,stoking fears of further unrest as the military stepped up its offensive in the region where at least 24 militants were

killed on Tuesday.

The Taliban faction led by Hafiz Gul Bahadur,which operates in North Waziristan Agency,said it was abandoning the peace deal struck in February last year.
