A clutch of Indian designers are trying similar designs to enliven the cocktail dress. Mumbai-based designer Gayatri Khanna cranked out smart bows trussed on the waistlines for her exclusive Mercedes-Benz collection. Fashion designer Rohit Verma of the label,Sarv Atelier,added a punch of drama to his latest collection. He used crystal accessories on the blouses and giant ruffles on the evening gowns.
Meanwhile designer JJ Valaya knows how to keep it stylish. In his latest collection,the model sported a lovely wine red gown trussed with a series of belts with a thin green belt topping it all. From the house of Lanvin,a French brand now available in India,twisted bows and dainty flowers in striking shades of blue and red figure on the dresses.
