Paharpur Realty plans expansion
Kolkata-based Paharpur Cooling Towers limited,having a turnover of over Rs 1,000 crore,unveiled its plan to expand its real estate business in eastern India. The company said that the Paharpur groups realty division is expanding its base in the eastern region through its forthcoming real estate projects. It had formed a special purpose vehicle Paharpur Pragnya Realty private limited with Pragnya Fund-I,a Mauritius-based private equity fund under FDI policy of the government.
Jaypee Greens launches suites at Greater Noida
Jaypee Greens announced the launch of Kassia,the personal suites at Jaypee Greens,Sports City near Greater Noida. The Kassia suites are available in 1/2/3/4 bedroom options. Kassia,launched at Basic Sale Price (BSP) of Rs 2,850 per sq ft,is offering an inaugural discount of Rs 150 per sq ft on BSP for a limited period of time. These personal suites range from 770 to 2140 sq ft.
JW Marriott opens property in Pune
Luxury hotel brand Marriott International opened a hotel and conventional centre in Pune. The 416-room hotel is the 500th Marriot property worldwide and 12th in India. Pune-based Panchsheel Realty has developed this property. This is the second Marriott hotel in Pune,the first is Courtyard Marriott at Hinjewadi.
CREDAI to hold Affordable Housing Conference
Homes for all the objective set by the countrys planners will be the central point of deliberations at Natcon,the forthcoming two-day national conference of the Confederation of Real Estate Developers of India (Credai) in December. Natcon will present an in-depth perspective about issues and challenges faced by the states in implementing real estate reforms and will aid them to devise prospective solutions to the impediments that they might face during the initial phase of its implementation.
Rs 2,000 cr housing project to come up in Punjab
Real estate developer ATS Group announced plans of a premium housing project along with a five star hotel at Dera Bassi in Punjab with an estimated investment of Rs 1,500-2,000 crore. Proposed to be developed over 300 acres of land located 12 kilometers from Chandigarh,the entire project will boast of 2,500 to 3,000 dwelling units,including flats,independent floors and villas. The project will be completed by 2015,ATS Group MD Getamber Anand.
SEBI bars Sahara units from raising funds
SEBI barred two real-estate companies owned by the Sahara Group from raising money through equity or convertible bonds until further direction,as part of an ongoing investigation regarding compliance with disclosures rules. The Securities and Exchange Board of India has restrained Sahara India Real Estate Corp. and Sahara Housing Investment Corp. from mobilizing funds by offering equity shares or optionally fully convertible debentures,the regulator said in a release. The investigation follows a series of investor complaints that the two companies were issuing convertible bonds not disclosed in an IPO draft offer .
