Amitabh Bachchan to play a gangster again

Amitabh Bachchan will be playing an aging gangster in director Puri Jagannath’s debut Hindi film.

Amitabh Bachchan will be playing an aging gangster in director Puri Jagannath’s debut Hindi film. Puri,who directed Pokkiri,the Telugu version of the Salman Khan-starrer Wanted is a successful director down South. Puri has written the story of the new film and it is not a remake of any South film. Sonu Sood,who will be seen as a Bihari goonda in Dabangg will be seen as a duty-bound and committed cop in this action-oriented film that will have some spectacular stunts and confrontation scenes between Bachchan and Sood.

Bachchan has earlier played the gangster in films like Deewaar,Kaalia,Don,etc. The film will take off some time in mid-October and shot in two schedules in Mumbai. The shooting will get over this year itself. The search is on for a female actress opposite Amitabh Bachchan as well as one opposite Sonu Sood.
