Actor Samantha Ruth Prabhu and filmmaker Raj Nidimoru of Raj and DK, tied the knot in an intimate yogic ceremony, at the Isha Foundation in Coimbatore. Soon after their wedding pictures were shared on social media, Raj’s ex-wife Shhyamali De posted a series of Instagram Stories that caught everyone’s attention.

Taking to her Instagram handle, she wrote a long note divided among separate Stories on Thursday, which read, “Thank you for all the kindness—the good wishes, the warm words, and all the blessings. I spent a sleepless night tossing and turning, debating, and realised it would be ungrateful and churlish not to acknowledge all the good that is coming to me. I have been practising Meditation on Twin Hearts for many years now. Doing the meditation involves blessing Mother Earth and all persons and beings with peace, love, forgiveness, hope, light, joy, loving-kindness, goodwill, and the will to do good.”

‘I’ve no PR team, no staff’

Shhyamali continued, “As a friend reminded me, what I am receiving now is simply that energy returning. I have no team, no PR, no staff, or associates managing my page. I am personally responding while dealing with something that needs my full presence.”

Dealing with a personal challenge

“On 9 November, my Jyotish guru was diagnosed with Stage 4 cancer, which has unfortunately metastasised to multiple parts of the body, including the brain. I am sure you all will understand where my attention must be right now. So, a humble request: please keep this space clean. Thank you… thank you… thank you… May every person, every being be blessed with good health, happiness, prosperity, and spirituality,” she concluded.

Samantha-Raj Nidimoru wedding

Samantha was previously married to actor Naga Chaitanya, but they got divorced in 2021. He is now happily married to Sobhita Dhulipala. Raj, on the other hand, married Shhyamali in 2015, and they got separated in 2022.

Meanwhile, the newlywed couple’s intimate ceremony was attended by close family and friends, performed as per the yogic tradition of Bhuta Shuddhi Vivaha. On the professional front, Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Raj Nidimoru have collaborated on several projects, including, The Family Man 2, Citadel: Honey Bunny, and Rakt Brahmand: The Bloody Kingdom being the most recent one.
