New Delhi, Sept 10: The banned United Liberation Front of Asom ULFA today rejected Home Minister L K Advani8217;s offer for talks within the ambit of constitution, and vowed to continue its 8220;long-term struggle8221; for secession.

8220;We will not sit for talks under the condition of abiding by the Indian constitution,8221; ULFA central publicity secretary Mithinga Daimary said in a statement faxed to PTI here in reaction to Advani8217;s offer during his Assam tour.

Advani on Tuesday said talks with insurgents in the North-East should be held within the parameters of the Constitution as the country cannot be divided to pieces.8217;

Dismissing Advani8217;s offer for talks as a typical playing of old cassette8217; by Central ministers touring Assam, the ULFA statement said there cannot be any question of calling off the fight to establish self-rule8217;.

Advani, it said, had exposed8217; himself by saying that talks were not possible outside parameters of constitution.
