
CHANDIGARH, Sept 7: Two Assistant Sub Inspectors ASI of the Chandigarh Police have topped the initial training course for the ASIs conducted at the Punjab Police Academy at Phillaur, which ended in August.
According to a statement issued here, ASI Harminder Singh 478/CHG stood first in rifle shooting, while ASI Ashok Kumar 477/CHG was declared all-round topper: first in outdoor security, first in indoor activities and first in pistol shooting.
As a recognition of their performance, Kumar has been given a cash award of Rs 1,000 and Singh Rs 500.
