The general elections may still be quite far away, but Science and Technology Minister Kapil Sibal seems to have suddenly gone into poll mode. How else do you explain the fact that Sibal has suddenly woken to this UPA obligations? At his ministry8217;s functions earlier, Sibal used to restrict his comments to issues of science and technology.

But for the past two weeks he does not forget to mention the UPA Government8217;s priorities and how the policies being formulated by his ministry are in keeping with the Common Minimum Programme. Could it be that his motivation is the strong possibility of his being put in charge of the party8217;s campaign in Gujarat for the upcoming Assembly elections?
