Greenland 2 Migration movie review: Gerard Butler film leaves viewers exhausted.

Greenland 2 Migration movie review: They called the first film Greenland because the Garittys were running towards an evacuation bunker there, so as to survive an Earth-altering comet hit. The family spends Greenland 2 running away from the same place.

The island tucked away for so long quietly on the North Pole is one of the hottest spots on Earth right now. But the filmmakers could not have known that.

Could that have made them stick longer on the world’s largest island? Or put a few menacing Russians and Chinese, or a few ignorant Danes and Inuits, there? Who knows?

As it is, it is a seemingly all-American bunker which the Garritys must first heroically help run – there’s a basketball court, a dance hall and school classes – and then heroically escape ahead of an earthquake that causes the bunker to cave in.

So, should we care? Only if you want to see Gerard Butler do his braveheart thing again, and a teary Morena Baccarin play the second fiddle, and son Nathan tag along, being alternatively hugged and asked “Are you okay?”

He is an obedient little 15-year-old, that one. Guess being hauled from one disaster to another, escaping a bunker collapse, and drowning, and comet fragments, and bullets, and canyons, and a battlefield can make a sturdy, silent man out of any teenager.

And an exhausted audience out of any viewer.
