Software engineer arrested for sending lewd emails

The city police have arrested a 27-year-old software engineer on Saturday evening for sending obscene mails to his female colleague. The accused Paresh Mishra 27 is a resident of Aundh. The police arrested Mishra on the basis of the complaint filed by a 27-year-old girl on July 20 earlier this year.

8220;During investigations the police found out that the boy and the girl worked in the same multinational IT company at Hinjewadi. He was stalking her since 2006 and also proposed her. As the girl was quite troubled with the Mishra8217;s overtures she sought a transfer to the company8217;s Bangalore office in the year 2006. Soon after Mishra was also transferred to Bangalore. Both of them were transferred back to the city earlier this year she again started receiving obscene emails, so she lodged a complaint with the cyber crime cell of the city police, 8221; said Sub Inspector SAS Sayyed of the Chatturshrungi police.Sayyed said that the girl said in her complaint that the unidentified person had also posted obscene messages casting slurs on the character of the girl on websites like facebook and orkut, hacked into her contacts and sent her friends lewd emails.

The police tracked the IP address from which the mails were sent to 8220;Friends8221; cyber cafeacute; on Paud road.
