Rupesh crowned Western India Shree
Pune8217;s Roopesh Pillay, state champion in the sport of body building annexed the champions title at the recently concluded Junior Masters Western India- Shree 8217;99 body building contest, hosted by the the Sangamner Body Building Association. Roopesh Pillay, representing Pune district, cornered glory in the 75 kg class tobe awarded the title.

Football tourney from April 15
The fourth edition of the Anthony Maharaj Memorial football tournament will get underway at the Ghorpuri Military ground tomorrow. The tournament resumes after a gap of seven years. A total of 32 teams from all divisions have confirmed their entries. The teams have been divided into two groups and matches will be played on a knockout basis. In the inaugural fixture, Deccan XI B8217; take on Knights at 4.30 p.m.
