School boy kidnapped

PANCHKULA, July 12: An 11-year-old student of Kendriya Vidyalya, Chandimandir was allegedly kidnapped on July 7 from outside the school. The police today registered a case under Section 365 IPC.

Sandil Kumar, a student of Class IV had gone to attend his school on July 7 but did not return home. In a statement given by G.Ramesh, the father of the kidnapped boy, Sandil had a slight tiff with his classmate Amit Tiwari who reportedly snatched his lunch box from him. In a fit of anger, Sandil hit back at Amit who had to be hospitalised. In the First Information Report, G.Ramesh has named the elder brother of the injured boy, Ajay Tiwari and two of his companions for allegedly kidnapping his son. Sandil was allegedly first beaten up by Ajay who along with two more companions took him away.

The boy has been missing ever since and has not returned home. Ramesh who had earlier reported that his son was missing, later on changed his statement, alleging that his son had been kidnapped and is being kept in hiding.
