Sukhbir Singh Badal,SAD’s modernist face,at Adda on Tuesday night

Badal will talk about issues confronting Punjab, the continuing Centre-versus-states debate.

Last year, the Shiromani Akali Dal (Badal)-BJP alliance in Punjab proved sceptics and pundits wrong by retaining power, that too with an improved margin. Credit for the impressive victory lay with the combine’s strategist-in-chief and SAD (Badal) president Sukhbir Singh Badal.

The articulate and forward-looking Sukhbir, who is also the state’s deputy chief minister, will interact with a select audience at the latest edition of Express Adda in Mumbai on Tuesday. He will talk about issues confronting Punjab, the continuing Centre-versus-states debate, and his party’s relationship with the BJP. The discussion will be moderated by The Indian Express Editor-in-Chief Shekhar Gupta.

Adda,a series of unique, informed, informal interactions with people at the centre of change in our times, has earlier featured Leader of the Opposition in Rajya Sabha Arun Jaitley,World chess champion Viswanathan Anand,J&K Chief Minister Omar Abdullah and actor Aamir Khan among others.
