NCERT national workshop

NEW DELHI, October 30: The National Council of Educational Research and Training NCERT is organising a two-day national workshop to develop a curricular framework for a gender-sensitive life-skills programme for children at the elementary stage classes 1-8 on November 2 and 3, 1998 at the NCERT campus. The objectives of the workshop are developing a compendium of generic life-skills, breaking down gender stereotyping and gender barriers in skill development and identifying broad strategies for integration of these skills in the curriculum at the elementary stage.
