With Assembly polls less than four months away and party rebels refusing to be cowed down, Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi is a worried man nowadays. And this shows, for on Friday, in an image-building exercise that he has launched, he sent eight ministers who presided over 83 inaugurations and participated in 39 foundation laying ceremonies in 43 villages in 15 talukas of Saurashtra.

8226; Urban Development Minister I K Jadeja laid the foundation of a small project of electric crematorium at the Mavdi area in Rajkot, followed by inauguration of a gramvatika at Kotda near Lodhika

8226; Water Supplies Minister Narottam Patel inaugurated a dhobi ghat at Juna Ghantila and Mota Dahisara villages in Maliya Miyana taluka

8226; BJP chief whip Jitu Sykhadia inaugurated a sewage system for Palash village in Wankaner taluka of Rajkot district

8226; Home Minister Amit Shah visited flood-affected Biladi village in Gondal taluka and distributed clothes to victims. Later, he presided over the inauguration of Talati quarters in Meta Khambhalia and Deradi village in the same taluka

8226; The rebels were not far behind. Led by Gordhan Zadaphia, Bavku Unghad, Dhiru Gajera, Siddharth Parmar and supported by Congress MLA Vithal Radadia, they took out a massive scooter rally at Paddhari, in Rajkot, the hometown of Keshubhai Patel

8226; The rally was followed by a farmers8217; convention organised under the banner of Sardar Patel Utkarsh Samittee at Makhawad village in Lodhika taluka

8226; The rebel group on Friday also found one more MLA joining hands. Rajkot-I MLA Tapu Limbasiya, who has so far remained silent, openly came out in the support of the rebels. Limbasiya8217;s name was mentioned on the top for speaker at convention in Rajkot
