Mandals support single procession

PUNE, Sept 23: The idea of a single immersion procession in Pimpri-Chinchwad has been supported by more than 90 Ganesh mandals. Mayor Madhukar Pawle had appealed Ganesh mandals to participate in the single immersion procession.

The immersion procession will commence from the ground near Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation PCMC office at Pimpri at 12 noon. It will proceed to the Pawana ghat at Chinchwadgaon, via Mumbai-Pune highway, and Chapekar chowk. Meanwhile, volunteers of various Ganesh mandals were today busy making arrangements for the immersion. The PCMC as well as various other organisations will be felicitating the Ganesh mandals at the Chapekar chowk.
