Rourkela, Feb 25: Anil Kumble is on a roll. The Karnataka skipper notched up his second hat-trick in the Ranji Trophy Cricket Championship, here at the Ispat Stadium, Wednesday. His first hat-trick was against Andhra at Vizag in 1992 under Syed Kirmani8217;s captaincy.

Kumble8217;s 16th five-wicket haul in Ranji Trophy fashioned Karnataka8217;s innings and 123-run win over minnows Orissa on the third day itself. Thus Karnataka bagged eight points from this Group A8217; Super League to swell their total to 24 points from three matches.

Bowling his fourth over, Kumble sent in a quicker delivery and Robin Morris, who went backward to be caught plumb in front of the wicket; a flipper in the next ball knocked out Goutham Gopal8217;s off-stump; he then bowled a straighter one that uprooted Subhash Mohanty8217;s stump. Kumble finished with amazing figures of 6-3-9-5.
